2018:
I am pursuing my Masters degree in Mexico with a focus on ethnobotany – the study of people’s relationship with plants. I am still on a quest for a harmonious life and believe that this interaction is the key to the discovery…
2016:
I’m back in Mexico. I couldn’t stay away from her beautiful people, fresh food, and hot climate. I just opened a home and garden store in the historic city of Querétaro. The next adventure begins.

2015:
Not much has changed in the past three years. I am still on a quest. I’ve narrowed it down a bit. It’s a quest for healthy living: fresh food, open mind and heart, and appreciation for all life forms. My quest took me to breathe in the wonders of Mexico with the Peace Corps. It led me to beautiful people and a new understanding of simplicity. My journey now continues in Memphis, TN – hopefully one step closer to the harmonious life I’ve set out to achieve.

2011:
Hi! My name is Josephine. I am a recent college graduate who is exploring the world, and with that, exploring myself. I tend to make haphazard plans, but mostly with the intention of seeking. I know a harmonious life is out there. One that values other people, the natural world, and the connections and dependence between the two. So here I am, blogging about the stepping stones that I hope will take me to la pura vida.
PS: Thank you so much for stopping by!
Love always,
the twigster

Hi there! I’m an RPCV (Moldova) living in Chiapas, Mexico with my Mexican hubby. I came across your blog and wanted to say “hi” and good luck on your new adventure in Mexico and in the Peace Corps. If you make it down south around Tuxtla, definitely let us know!

I am moving to NYC soon and hoping to remain involved in organic food production. Do you have any ideas?

I just moved back to NYC and I am trying to feel around to see how I can get involved. Here are some suggestions. There are various green living and a great permaculture group on meetup.com. Also, this is a great rooftop farm in Brooklyn. http://rooftopfarms.org/
Hope this helps!
